Lake Charles – Allen Carrier, 83, passed away on January 6, 2017, surrounded by his family. Allen was born in Church Point, LA on March 15, 1933 to the late Evie Carrier and Bathilde Daigle. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, working in his garden and watching western movies. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Allen served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed with Schlesinger’s Wholesale until he retired. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Sweelseline LeJeune Carrier; sons; Jimmy Carrier (Donna), Joseph Carrier (Jeanette), John Carrier (Diana), Mark Carrier (Sarah); daughter , Vicki Hebert (Tony); sisters, Ethel Stanford, Annabelle Doucet, Nelma Cormier (Buford); 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Elton Carrier, Raymond Carrier and Tiny Duplechin. A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church with Father Bennie Wego officiating on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation begins Sunday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and will resume Monday from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
