Bonnie Rawlins Aucoin

July 4, 1946 - March 30, 2019

Hayes- Bonnie Rawlins Aucoin, born July 4, 1946, daughter of the late Whitney and Ellia Rawlins, passed away in her residence after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the age of 72. Bonnie was a school bus driver and enjoyed fishing, gardening and canning vegetables and figs. Her children and grandchildren were her proud and joy. Bonnie leaves to cherish her memories one son, Dana Aucoin and wife, Lori of Hayes; two daughters, Kelly Aucoin Leger and husband, Jimmy of Hayes, Desiree Aucoin Mott and husband, Kim of Bell City; grandchildren, Logan Leger, Katelyn Leger, Matthew Aucoin (Alexis), Kade Mott; Greyson Mott; Corey Mott; Micka Williams (A’nna); great-grandchildren, Noah Williams; RoseMary Williams; sister, Paula Aucoin; sister-in-law, Madeline Leonard (P. J.). Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Joseph Aucoin; parents, Whitney and Ellia Breaux Rawlins. Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m., with a cursillo rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a Celebration of Life will follow. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Pallbearers assisting in her service are Logan Leger; Matthew Aucoin; Kade Mott; Greyson Mott; Blaine Aucoin; Harris O’Blanc; Kenneth DeRouen; Tony O’Blanc; and Patrick Trahan. The family would like to thank the Oncology Nurses at Lake Charles Memorial and St. Joseph Hospice and staff their loving care given.
