Jim Foreman was born in Jennings on June 27, 1956. Jim was the son of the late Claude John and Gladys Marie (Doucet) Foreman, and entered eternal rest on Monday, March 14, 2022, at the age of 65. Jim never met a stranger and was outgoing. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially when he was riding his tractor. He also loved collecting tractors. He was talented, and always creative, having built things with whatever he had to work with. Jim also played in the Christian Friends Music Ministry, along with good friends Lugi Hanks and Garland (Pops) Reed for about 15 years. They ministered mostly to nursing homes and churches. Their music brought such joy to the elderly in the nursing home. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; Clemile and Ada Doucet; several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Jim is survived by his best friend and partner of 3 years; Sharon Mallett; brother; John Foreman (Kay); sister; Gail Richard (Homer “Jude”); nieces; Katie, Mandy, Dymphna, Kathy, Bernadette; nephews; Joseph, Jeremy, Matthew; great nieces and nephews; uncle Leonard Doucet; aunt Ethel Hantz; and a whole host of cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held in the Broussard Cemetery in Lacassine on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 10 a.m., officiated by Rev. Russell Beard. All are welcome to attend the services. As per his request, cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
