Leeds Moreau

January 9, 1931 - June 6, 2019

Hayes – Leeds Moreau, born January 9, 1931 in Kinder, son of the late Valentine and Estelle (Fontenot) Moreau, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the age of 88. Leeds served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a supervisor of Sunrise rice mill. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Leeds is survived by his wife, Audrey Moreau; and daughter, Tina Mrouri and husband, Idir and one grandchild, Imran Malik. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Dolly Ferguson. A Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, June 10, 2019 at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
