Leo Joseph Guidry
May 5, 1929 - October 10, 2020
It is with great joy that my father entered into eternal life on October 10, 2020 at the age of 91. The family would like to thank everyone at the SW LA Veterans Home in Jennings for the excellent care that was given to their father. Also, thanks to the Jeff Davis Hospice in Jennings for their support and care that was shown. Dad, you will be greatly missed, but I know that you are exactly where you want to be, right next to mom. Rest in peace, your troubles and worries are gone. Leo was born on May 5, 1929 in Kaplan, son of the late Luah and Ales (Laviolette) Guidry. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. Most of all, the greatest man. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucie B. Guidry of 64 years. Those left to honor his memories are his children, Maxine; Karen; Gifford; Gary; Kelly and Roger; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. As per his request, Leo’s cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa and his ashes will be laid to rest next to his wife in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery.
