Lacassine – Scot James Borne, 21, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016. Scot also known as “Beave” was a very kind hearted man and loved his family with all his heart. He enjoyed cooking for others and being on the bayou. Scot had many friends and enjoyed sitting around the campfire just hanging out. His life on earth ended at the place he loved the best. Scot will be missed forever and his kindness and big smile will never be forgotten. He always said he loved his lord and savior and Scot always saw the best in others. Scot is survived by the love of his life, his baby daughter, Paisley Marie Borne; his fiancé and mother of his daughter, Kassie Smith; parents, Richard and Delores Borne; sister, Kristen Borne; brother, Richard Borne, Jr and wife Heather; nieces, Hannah, Trinity and Kinley Borne; grandparents, Frances Leger and Patty Borne. He is preceded in death by his uncles, Kevin Leger and Chris Borne; grandfathers, Harris Leger and Laris Borne. Visitation begins Monday, September 19, 2016 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in First Baptist Church of Welsh on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Pat Deshotel officiating. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Rest in peace my sweet boy, we love you always until we meet again.
