Weber James Gaspard Hayes –Weber J. Gaspard, 80, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 in his residence. Weber was born in Hayes to the late Alba and Louise (Comelleaux) Gaspard on January 13, 1937. Weber was a graduate of Bell City High and worked as a welder for many years. He was member of Preparing the Way Full Gospel Church in Lake Charles, where he served in many capacities. Weber loved reading the bible and serving the Lord in any way that was needed. Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Mary (Bartlett) Gaspard; sons, Fern Gaspard and wife, Robin of Hayes, Faron Gaspard of Lake Arthur; daughter, Trudy Crocker and husband, Ed of Columbus, MS; sister, Pamela Gaspard; grandchildren, Lyndsie Pitre and husband, Travis, Corey Gaspard, Katie Weekly and husband, Seth, Shelbie Gaspard, Jennifer Ferioli, Edward “Sonny” F. Crocker, III, Edward “Eddie” Charles Crocker and Jacob Crocker; great-grandchildren, Karli Pitre, Zoey, Phoebe, Ellie and Maggie Weekly, and Gunner Verrett. He is preceded in death by his parents and 5 sisters. Visitation is Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services are Tuesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Doyle Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Rosepine Cemetery, Rosepine, LA at 2 p.m. under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
