Zachary Blisard

January 19, 2000 - February 8, 2022

Zachary Blisard, born on January 19, 2000 in Temple, TX, son of Tony Blisard and Melanie McCray, passed away February 8, 2022 at the age of 22. Zachary lived in Temple, TX most of his life and attended school in Rogers, TX from pre-k until he graduated from high school. He had recently moved to Vinton, LA in 2020. Zachary worked for various mechanic shops; his most recent place of employment was Love’s Truck Stop in Vinton changing oil on diesel trucks. Zachary is survived by his mother, Melanie McCray of Vinton; father, Tony and wife, Sharlett Blisard of Nolanville, TX; sister, Lindsey Blisard; brother-in-law, Zak Schwartz both of Austin, TX; grandmother, Martha Gabbert of Salado, TX; many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held in First Baptist Church in Rogers, TX on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2 p.m. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa and there will be no formal services. Donations in memory of Zachary may be made to Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville, TX. Zachary was diagnosed at the age of 9 with Type 1 diabetes and attended Texas Lions Camp every summer until the age of 15.
